About UINSA48

UINSA48, also known as UIN48, is a JKT48 fans family based at Universitas Islam Negeri Sunan Ampel Surabaya. Founded on August 23, 2023 in Kampung Sungai Ramal Dalam, Selangor, Malaysia or approximately 30 minutes from the downtown of Kuala Lumpur by a small group of students participating in the FISIP UINSA International Student Mobility and Community Engagement 2023 program. This was an academic and international community service program organized by the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) of UINSA.

During their academic activities and community engagement in Malaysia, the students shared their interests and discovered a common passion for JKT48 and its fandom culture. From the bonds formed abroad, UINSA48 was born. After returning to Indonesia, the group grew through active participation in supporting various JKT48 events, particularly in Surabaya and Jakarta, while gradually building its identity as a JKT48 fans family at UINSA that also strives to position itself on equal footing with more established fan communities.

UINSA48 aims to be more than just a collection of fans. It seeks to become a relevant fan group that contributes both to the wider fandom ecosystem and to the positive image of its alma mater.
